Last May 25, 2011 at around 10:40 pm, I was informed by my brother in-law that our office, Solid Grace Trading , was on fire as he saw smoke coming out from the office door. We are living in the 3rd floor of the same building and our office is at the ground floor. After I heard about the fire, I immediately grabbed my Bronco HCFC 5 lb fire extinguisher and went down to check the office.
I slowly opened the door I saw that the ceiling and floor were already on fire and the smoke was already so thick. I tried to assess the situtation. I thought that I if I would not go in and put off the fire myself, I'm sire the firemen would use water to put it off hence all the expensive equipment and important documents in my office (3 laptops computer, files, etc.) would get wet and damaged. So I decided to put it off by myself before the firemen do arrive.
Before I went in, I took a deep breath and held it, so I won't inhale the poisonous smoke. I was confident that I could hold my breathe for about five seconds and thought that it would be good enough. I went in and put off first the fire on the floor using one Bronco 5 lb HCFC! My brother in-law brought along his own two Bronco HCFC units of 1 kg each. So I held my breath again and went inside and extinguish the fire on the ceiling using the small units.
The fire department arrived a few minutes later, but the fire was already extinguished by the use of our very reliable and effective BRONCO HCFC CEA fire extinguisher. The fire's culprit was a ceiling fan left turned on by our staff after they closed the office. I concluded in my investigation that the fan overheated because they already noticed that it stopped working at 4 pm that day but nobody recalled turning it off.
Because I used BRONCO HCFC Clean Extinguishing Agent fire extinguisher, our office was back in business immediately the following day. We did not need to clean the office which would be likely if we used the dry chemical type of fire extinguisher.
