Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. based in Clark Field, Pampanga sent their representatives to visit the manufacturing plant of Excelta in Paranaque City after checking out our website. The intent was to check the office and factory facilities in order to determine if Excelta is a legitimate and existing company or not.
Consequently, they requested to pick up at random
two five-pound units, namely Bronco Dry Chemical (MAP) and Bronco HCFC
for chemical purity testing. Such samples were brought to the Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry or PIPAC,
an independent scientific institute in Quezon City, by Yokohama
themselves last June 9, 2009 for component analysis. The yielded
results showed 90% for MAP and 100% for HCFC which only proved that
Excelta does not use recycled chemicals or adulterated extinguishing
agents in their fire extinguishers. (Note: The Philippine National Standard or PNS for chemical purity should be above 75% for MAP and 99.8% for HCFC).
This then led to a product demo at Yokohama's site in Pampanga
together with three other local players in the firefighting industry on
June 25, 2009. The Excelta team who went there comprised of two senior
servicemen in the persons of Sir Jojo Siasoco and Sir Danny Mendiola
accompanied by the vice president, Mr. Pedro Bertis. Bronco Dry
Chemical reigned as the most reliable fire extinguisher upon
putting off three successive Class B fires placed in
50-gallon, half moon drums using a single 10-pound unit only. While the
other companies were able to use up three fire extinguisher units or
one for each fire demonstration. Thus, Excelta is looking forward on
serving Yokohama Tire Philippines Inc. in its fire protection requirements.
